Gratitude Exercise
Take some time this week to slow down and connect with gratitude for the world around you. The overwhelming list of benefits of practicing gratitude are enough to convince us! Check out this quick guide to get started.

In the age of on-the-go, chaos, and more-is-more, take some time today to slow down and reconnect with gratitude.
Doing this can improve a multitude of things including stress, mental health, anxiety, self-esteem, and even your productivity! Sometimes the very thing we need in order to move ahead, is to actually slow down and connect with thankfulness.
Read on for a guide on how to begin:
____
In your journal, write down at least 5 things in your life that you’re thankful for.
Next, read over them one by one. As you read each one, close your eyes and take one minute to really connect with the feeling of gratitude within you for whatever it is you wrote. Do this for each one listed.
Next, work on reframing negative thinking into positive thinking. Identify 2 negative thoughts that have been coming to your mind lately, and write them down.
Now think of something good that is coming out of the negative. For example, the thought “I’m stressed about money a lot lately”, could be turned into, “I’m learning to manage my finances really well in this season,”.
Another example could be replacing a negative thought with truth. Take, “I need to do more to be accepted by the people around me,” and replace it with the truth- “I am everything I need to be, I don’t need to perform for love,”.
Spend one minute with your eyes closed meditating on the truth or reframed thought.
These gratitudes, reframed thoughts, and new truths are great to keep close and look back to reflect on throughout your week, as often as you’d like.
