In this week's wellness article, we're talking about the importance of getting outdoors!
For many, it's becoming increasingly easier to spend the day inside. From waking up, to working in the office, there's hardly a chance to get a breath of fresh air. Filling the little free moments you may have outdoors, however, will benefit you greatly!
One way to add outside time into your busy daily routine? Step outside or set up a chair in the yard, porch, or patio while you have your morning coffee. Getting sunlight in during the first moments of your day helps boost your energy, and balances your circadian rhythm. This means better sleep at night! Morning sunlight also increases your serotonin, which boosts your mood and helps to lower stress.
Another way to incorporate fresh air into your schedule: Take your lunch break outside! This can help with the rest of your workday by naturally energizing you, and even can help aid in digestion!
In the evening once the temperatures start to cool down, think about adding in a walk or even just spend some time outside to help relax and release the stress of the day before bed!
Think about ways you can incorporate fresh air into your schedule, and we know you feel the benefits of it! Enjoy!
